United States of America Historical Documents

Some of the most important and powerful documents in the history of the world are those that establish the freedoms we enjoy in these United States.  These documents are the culmination of hundred if not thousands of human history and represent everything that our Patriot Ancestors fought to preserve.  Please take a moment to read the text of each of them.  They are truly a testament to the spirit of freedom that lives within each of us.  It is important that we do not forget the context and the content of what these truly historic documents represent.  We all know about the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, but there are other documents which came before them and served an equally important function; the Contenential Association and the Articles of Confederation.  In addition, the resolution adopted prior to the Declaration of Independence which we now call the Halifax Revolves, is equally important in the road that would eventually lead to our independence.  Independence granted in the form of the Paris Peace Treaty of 1783.
