Saturday, August 20, 2011 - Blue Licks Battlefield Ceremony and Luncheon: Blue Licks Battlefield State Park near Mt. Olivet, Kentucky. Luncheon will be at the Lodge at 11:30 a.m. followed by the posting of Colors, wreath presentation ceremony and the battle re-enactment. Come and join with the KYSSAR Colorguard for this event!
Saturday, September 10, 2011 - Constitution Day Meeting Luncheon: The Louisville-Thruston Chapter's next regular meeting will be a joint meeting with DAR and will be held at the Pendennis Club (2nd Floor) 218 Muhammid Ali Blvd in downtown Louisville. Hosting this year's meeting is the Fincastle Chapter of DAR.
Saturday, September 24, 2011 - DAR Cabin Marking: The John Marshall Chapter DAR is sponsoring a ceremony starting at 1 p.m. to mark the Robert Black Log Cabin near Greensburg, KY. Thursday, October 6, 2011 - Honor Flight Event at Louisville International Airport: Approximately 130 WW II veterans are scheduled to arrive back in Louisville on Thursday evening from their day trip to Washington, D.C. Bring your family and friends and join with us to welcome home these heroes. The flight arrival time should be around 9:00 p.m., but check back later to learn the exact schedule.
